Italian yacht manufacturer Azimut has unveiled the first vessel larger than 72 feet to be designed entirely at the company’s headquarters in Avigliana: the Azimut 80.
The exterior design is the work of Stefano Righini, while the interior was created by Achille Salvagni Architetti. Azimut 80 is quite airy and very comfortable: her four elegant cabins can accommodate up to eight guests, with no fewer than five bathrooms on board and a 452 square-foot flybridge providing additional space. The lighting, based on LED technology, is another impressive feature as it allows full control of the mood and atmosphere in all areas. The mirrors and the remarkably high ceilings (which are about seven feet tall) also contribute to the overall impression of spaciousness. In addition to this, there’s a sizeable swimming platform and a platform with adequate room for launching and retrieving tenders of more than 12 feet in length.
The Azimut 80 is powered by two 1550hp MAN engines which help the vessel achieve a top speed of 30 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 6,000 liters, while the water tank’s volume is 1,200 liters. As an option, the yacht can also be fitted with electric CMC Marine stabilizing fins.
