Located in the charming Cambodian town of Siem Reap, just a short distance away from the magnificent temple complex of Angkor Wat, Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa is a great place to get acquainted with Cambodia’s history and heritage, while also offering all the amenities of a modern, high-end resort.

The amazing retreat seems to borrow a bit of the grandeur of its majestic neighbor and namesake. There are 39 rooms and suites, ranging from the cozy and elegant 48 square-meter Deluxe rooms to the spacious 65 square-meter Premium Deluxe rooms, all designed like studios and featuring lounge, bedroom, and semi-open bath area. In addition to this, every room has its own balcony with great views of the pool and the surroundings. Even more impressive are the luxurious Anantara and Sothea suites – the latter even has private library which can convert into a lounge, dining room or meeting space.

As always, the Anantara Spa is quite a treat and is certain to provide the setting for many hours of blissful tranquility. And if you feel like exploring the surroundings, the resort organizes bicycle trips, as well as visits to Angkor Wat and the Cambodian Cultural Village, for a real immersion into traditional Khmer culture.
