Romain Jerome is a Swiss watchmaker known for its distinctive, albeit sometimes a bit zany timepieces. The company seems to enjoy paying homage to pop culture icons and has now released a timepiece celebrating the classic Space Invaders videogame called the Space Invaders Ultimate Edition.
This remarkable watch comes with a 43mm black PVD-coated steel case, but the release actually comprises five different models, the difference between them being the color of the hour markers and the watch strap’s seam, which can be yellow, blue, green, white, or red. The most eye-catching feature is certainly the famous alien from Space Invaders being shot at by the laser cannon – an image which will certainly evoke some feelings of nostalgia, especially in veteran videogame nerds – perhaps those old enough to actually afford a watch worth about $7,150!
