RJ-Romain Jerome unveiled the Spacecraft watch

Here comes the first pilot’s watch from RJ-Romain Jerome, which the brand dubbed the Spacecraft. The watch was bestowed with elegant yet discreet looks by the design team behind it – independent watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, Manuel Emch, the CEO of RJ-Romain Jerome, and the acclaimed watch designer Eric Giroud.

The limited edition Spacecraft was manufactured on the principles of uniqueness, retro and futuristic styles. Thus a beautiful watch has come to life, shaped like a trapezoid and measuring 50 x 44.5 x 18.5 mm. Crafted from PVD-coated titanium, the case boasts a rectilinear profile and facetted surface so nicely penned down that it reminds of the looks of a spaceship.

The wearer is able to literally read off the hours on a linear display, while the minutes are being indicated atop the case by a black rotating disc with a red indicator transferred on the sapphire crystal.

Inside this exquisite piece beats a self-winding RJ2000-A caliber movement, designed and developed at the Agenhor manufacturing facility in Geneva, exclusively for RJ-Romain Jerome. It sports a one off carriage driven by a spring, driving the hour display through a red-lacquered cursor which is clearly visible on one side of the watch.

The cursor reportedly moves under the sapphire crystal once every 60 minutes. As for the minutes, they can be read off atop the case, where one can also notice the bead-blasted titanium plates. The time can be set via a screw-lock crown positioned at 12 o’clock.

Completing the stylish yet discreet character of the Spacecraft timepiece is a black polyamide mesh strap. As for additional details, the Spacecraft is a limited edition model to be manufactured in just 99 units, each of the priced at $22,000 or 20,000 Swiss Francs.
