Porsche was one of the many automakers present at the recently concluded North American International Auto Show, where they presented the eye-catching 911 Targa 4 GTS.
Created to mark 50 years since the release of the 911 Targa, the vehicle comes with a sportier front bumper, wider rear fenders, and tinted bi-xenon headlights. Further adding to its speedy appearance, the car also features aerodynamic mirrors, a sports exhaust system, and gloss black 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels. Changes to the interior are comparatively small, with Alcantara upholstery and four-way adjustable Sport Plus seats being the most notable elements.
The 911 Targa 4 GTS is equipped with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine outputting 430 PS (316 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque. This allows the sports car to go from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds (or from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds) and ultimately reach a top speed of over 186 mph (300 km/h). In addition to the engine upgrade, there’s also a PASM chassis and the Sport Chrono package.
Set to be released in Germany this March, the new 911 Targa 4 GTS comes with a price tag starting at €137,422 (including VAT), which is the equivalent of about $160,000.
