The lucky ones that have already ordered the brand new McLaren 12C Spider will have to wait until the beginning of the next year for their new cars to be delivered. Until then, we shall warm them and our readers up with some spicy technical details about the long awaited vehicle.

The car has had its public debut at Pebble Beach, boasting with a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that delivers no less than 616 HP (460 kW). The spider version has roughly the same power unit as the older coupé version. A seven speed dual-clutch SSG gearbox transfers the power from the engine to the wheels.

Furthermore, the list of endowments also includes a Retractable Hard Top (RHT) folding roof system and a carbon MonoCell chassis. The vehicle particularly showcased at Pebble Beach was died in volcano yellow, a gorgeous tone that definitely fits it.
