The renowned French champagne house G.H. Mumm, founded in 1827 and now owned by Pernod Ricard, has released an elegant limited edition gift box for the holidays which was dubbed as the Sabre Gift Box. The special present box was designed by the Paris-based architect and designer Patrick Jouin.
He created a handle of a modernistic sword for slicing the top off the bottle inspired from the iconic Mumm Cordon Rouge ribbon. The curled handle is covered with a luxurious red hand stitched leather while the blade is made of stainless steel with a blunt square end.
The Limited Edition Champagne Mumm Sabre Gift package is priced at $850 and comes in a box made of white lacquered wood and covered with leather with a pull out drawer specially designed to hold ice and keep a bottle of Cordon Rouge at the ideal temperature for serving.
