The automotive industry in China is exploding – no argument against this! As the country with the highest population in the world has gone upwards in the list of most wanted markets by automakers, Koenigsegg have joined the array of automotive manufacturers which create limited edition series exclusively for the Chinese market.
The project, reportedly named the Koenigsegg One:1, is supposedly a brand new customization program from Koenigsegg. And here jumps Christian von Koenigsegg, shouting that the One:1 is totally not a customization program, but a limited edition car of its own. And then comes the power to weight ratio, which, according to Koenigsegg, measures up to 1 HP per 1 kg of weight.
The model is currently in development and will definitely be one of the world’s fastest series production cars, if not the fastest. There’s no info regarding the launch date, but Christian says customers should expect a price of around $2 million and that the limited edition will be manufactured in 5 units.
