I was wondering, related to our story, how to start it if Jaquet Droz is the hero. But it then struck me – this brand is one of the most compelling and influent watchmakers of all time, having displayed legendary designs and state of the art innovation throughout their history.

Two versions of the gorgeous Jaquet Droz Grand Second Quantième timepiece were presented at Baselworld 2013. The series was first unveiled in 2011, featuring a ‘grand second’ in stainless steel with date display. Now integrated part of Swatch Group alongside Glashutte, Breguet and plenty others, Jaquet Droz unveiled the blue and chocolate brown versions of the famous timepiece, finished with elegant vertical Geneva striping.

The wristwatches boast 43 mm stainless steel cases measuring 11.63 mm in thickness, automatic mechanical JC double-barrel caliber, Chocolate or Blue Côtes de Genève and opaline applied rings, hours/minutes/seconds/date displays alongside a red tipped hand, fitted on rolled edge alligator strap and indications finished in rhodium.
