Up-and-coming designer Timur Bozca has recently received the Young Designer of the Year Award at the 2015 ShowBoats Design Awards for his breathtaking project called Cauta. This futuristic 55-meter, high-performance world cruiser is inspired by the elegant shape of the albatross and has even been described as a new class of yacht.

Though this is unmistakably a sailing yacht, her design is not exactly standard. The look is curvy and sensual, with the great amount attention to detail invested in it visible throughout. Furthermore, the Elite Supernova Silver hull color is not only very elegant, but also underscores the ship’s futuristic ethos.

In contrast, the interior of Cauta is warm and welcoming, thanks in part to the OLED lighting system utilized, but also to the luxurious amenities which surround the guests, with accommodations for up to ten of them available on board. Most notable is the owner’s stateroom, an aquatic-themed space which takes up the full beam aft of the yacht and features a large living area with multi-functional desk with surface display, bathroom with rain shower system, and changing area.

Given Timur Bozca’s talent has already been recognized, it’s probably not unreasonable to expect that Cauta, or at least a similar project, will be actually built in the near future. We’re certainly looking forward to reporting on the ship’s maiden voyage.
