Back in 2011, Rémy Martin released Louis XIII Le Jeroboam, a version of its acclaimed cognac presented in an amazingly beautiful special decanter. Only 100 of them were ever produced, with only a few actually being sold each year.

The exquisite decanter holds 3 liters of cognac -about four times as much as the standard Louis XIII decanter. Each piece was individually handcrafted by a team of nine crystal artisans at Cristallerie de Sevres, in France, and is made from eleven pounds of crystal, with its neck done in 24-carat gold.

The cognac itself is blended from 1200 eaux de vie, some as much as 100 years old, which is then aged in special centuries-old oak barrels called tierçons.

The aromatic nose contains notes of exotic candied fruit, which then turns into a delicate floral mix of fruit, flowers, and spices on the palate. The finish is quite long and leaves you with notes of jasmine, saffron, and cigar box.

The highly exclusive Rémy Martin Louis XIII Le Jeroboam Cognac is available at Harrods and comes with a price tag of £24,995 ($39,200).
