The history of Harley Davidson starts in the year 1901, with a manufacturer of small engines to be put on the frames of pedal bicycles appointed William S. Harley. He later teamed up with Arthur Davidson, his childhood friend, to work on the motor-bicycle in a northside Milwaukee machine shop which was completed later on, in 1903.
Harley Davidson is thus the oldest American motorcycle manufacturer, now famous for the distinctive exhaust notes and heavy custom modifications.
As the brand celebrates its 110th anniversary, they’re organizing a plethora of events across the world among which we enumerate the holy blessing from Pope Benedict XVI himself at the Vatican and the launch of two brand new 2013 motorcycle models, among which there is the gorgeous 2013 Breakout CVO – Custom Vehicle Operations – with Pagan Gold paintjob.
A brand new CVO, the bike sports top notch high performance Softail with hand polished steel trim on the fenders and fuel tank, vented windshield, a state of the art audio system and a 1,802 CC “Screamin’” Eagle Twin Cam 110B motor with Heavy Breather intake. In addition, the bike features a chrome plated front-end assembly, headlamp bucket and nacelle included, plus leather seats garnished with hornback alligator hide pattern.
Sadly, this stunning bike will only be manufactured in a limited series of 1,900 units for the worldwide market. Priced at $26,499 per piece, the model will definitely turn heads. Apart from the casual CVO endowments like keyless ignition and ABS, every bike will come with a personal serial number, vintage black or vintage orange paint and commemorative fuel tank badges crafted from solid bronze.
