Gucci will team up with yatch builder Riva to produce made-to-order luxury speedboats with prices starting from EUR 590,000/$750,000 to mark the Italian luxury brand’s 90th anniversary in 2011.
The “Aquariva by Gucci” will have a length of 33 feet and will be poweredd by two 380 HP Yanmar engines that will take this speedboat to a top speed of 41 knots and a 150 mile range at cruising speed. This luxury vessel will feature a fiberglass hull, a mahogany deck, Gucci’s signature green and red stripes and also a range of Riva by Gucci accessories. The boat is based on the Aquariva model created by Riva and design studio Officina Italian Design 10 years ago.
“Aquariva by Gucci” was just premiered at the International Cannes Boat show yesterday and on September 22 it will be presented during the Milan fashion week. The boat will be exclusively available on a made-to-order basis through Riva’s dealer network.
