The Runabout, one of the greatest designs conceived by the Frederique Constant studio from Geneva, has now been introduced to the newest collection, called “The Venice Editions”. It mainly consists of a Chronograph and Dated, Three-Hand Automatic version.
Featuring two different timepieces, their cases are both crafted from stainless steel and comprise rose gold-plated Arabic numerals on top of silvered dials. What we’ve got here is a simple-design 3-hand watch, with the 43 mm polished stainless steel case being accompanied by a brown strap with contrasting whitish stitching.
Following their tradition, the box in which this timepiece is placed at delivery also includes a miniature model of a runabout boat. Above all, one of the most stunning features is the arrangement of the Arabic indexes, placed radially. The numerals from the bottom of the watch are actually flipped, to provide full comfort to the timepiece’s bearer.
The inside of the watch is filled with the parts of an automatic mechanical Swiss movement that ensures maximum accuracy. The model will be made available in an 1888-piece series, adding to the overpowering exquisiteness this watch obviously packs.
