Jaquet Droz is known for its stunningly beautiful and technically exquisite creations and the amazing three new limited edition watches we are about to showcase are worthy additions to the brand’s proud history.
What makes these timepieces truly special is the technique of paillonné enameling used on their dials. In a nutshell, paillonné enameling is the placing of a piece of foil between two layers of enamel, an ornamental technique Jaquet Droz artisans have perfected their skills at over the last two and a half centuries.
The house has used its favored floral motif to decorate each of the three timepieces, while blue steel hands complement the blue enamel. The first of the triad is the $39,900 Petite Heure Minute Paillonnée, with a Blue Grand Feu Paillonnée-enameled dial and an 18-carat red gold case. Then there’s the Grande Seconde Paillonée, with a similar dial, but with a 22-carat white gold case, priced at $42,000. Finally, completing line-up in style is the Pocket Watch Paillonnée, with a price tag of $47,300.
