The Dyson 360 Eye, an Awesome New Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson is a British technology company with over two decades of experience in manufacturing vacuum cleaners, hand dryers, bladeless fans, and other electronics. Recently the company has released the Dyson 360 Eye, a robot vacuum cleaner that could finally save us all from this annoying chore.

This amazing piece of technology isn’t just something which moves mindlessly around the room in on a preset path. It actually uses a panoramic 360 degree lens to observe its surroundings, and then uses geometry, trigonometry, and probability theory to map the room and compute the optimal route through it. Kind of makes you pause and think how great it is that such complex technology is used to help us do such trivial chores – and during that time, the Dyson 360 Eye thoroughly vacuums the room using the Radial Root Cyclone™ technology.

The machine uses carbon fiber filaments to remove fine dust from hard floors and stiff nylon bristles to remove ground-in dirt from carpet, while its tank tracks ensure small obstacles don’t trouble it too much while completing its task. There’s also a Dyson Link app which allows the user to schedule cleaning sessions and generally tinker with this cool new robot.
