The San Francisco-based Untitled Motorcycles has been called up by Jim MacLaughlin, from Marin Speed Shop, with an incredible idea for a two-wheel masterpiece. The guy had thought about building a limited edition Ducati that would make all other bikes bow down in humility and accept their new king and… we think he’s done a great job.
Called the Ducati HyperScrambler, this ravishing bike has started with Ducati Monster S2R swingarm, and then it received a UMC-designed custom petrol tank, and went on to look as slim as possible. Sure, you might have noticed that all unnecessary components have been scrapped, thus allowing the custom Ducati to weigh 85 lbs less than when it left the factory.
On an aesthetic level, the new UMC Scrambler is based on three core elements: engine, frame and body. The engine and other mechanical parts were vapor-blasted to show off the raw nature of this project, while the frame has been finished in “Rosso Corsa”, a popular neon orange color that Ducati uses for their Moto GP race bikes.
We’re not sure about the technical details or possible engine upgrades on this beauty, but none can deny this Ducati looks outrageous, futuristic and – let’s hope – on the way of becoming reality. Sure, some lighting elements and safety features might ruin this bike’s raw vibe, but at least you’d get to ride this thing.
