Christian de Kant of DK Motorrad builds high-end custom bikes based on old-school frames from the ’40s and ’50s at his company in Switzerland. The newest creation from DK Motorrad is a custom Harley Davidson 1949 Panhead which was entirely rebuilt staying true to the way choppers were built many years ago.
All the major components such as the engine, trans and frame are from the original 1949 bike but they have been rebuilt to be more reliable. The foot pegs, sissy bar, handle bars and exhausts were handmade while the bike’s tank and fenders are parts collected over the years. The bike sits on a 16″ rear wheel and a 21″ front wheel, both wheels being wrapped in Avon tires.
The price for this Custom Harley Davidson 1949 Panhead is 40,000 EUR or about $56,850 and other custom bikes from DK Motorrad are priced from 30,000 EUR to 100,0000 EUR.
