Swiss luxury watchmaker Chopard has unveiled the exquisite L.U.C 8HF Power Control timepiece.
It comes with a remarkable chronometer-certified high-frequency L.U.C Caliber 01.09-L, which beats at the above average frequency of 57,600 vph (or 8 Hz), which results markedly improved timekeeping properties, like precision, rate resumption, and stability. The watch is available with a 42 mm case in high-grade black machined ceramic with red elements.
Water-resistant to 100 meters, it features a DLC-coated titanium case-band, which allows for a broad bezel diameter, in addition to a ceramic crown at 4 o’clock displaying the L.U.C logo. The contemporary-looking piece also has monobloc matt black ceramic lugs and case-back, as well as a screw-down crown guard with a similar finish. A sapphire crystal set into the half-closed caseback is located slightly above the high-frequency escapement, which allows for a view of its inner working.
The date is in a pointer-type display located between 5 and 6 o’clock on the elegant black sunburst satin-brushed black dial, while the 60-hour power reserve indicator appears between 9 and 11 o’clock.
Chopard is releasing the L.U.C 8HF Power Control watch as a limited edition comprising just 250 pieces.
