Carnival Cruise has announced the launch of a fantastic new addition to its range of cruise liners, a vessel which will feature such facilities as a suspended, open-air cycling circuit and even an IMAX theater!

Called the Carnival Vista, she is already considered the company’s most innovative ship, especially thanks to the multiple entertainment options on board. We’ve already mentioned the IMAX theater, the first time a venue of this kind can be found on a ship. There’s also the so-called ‘Thrill Theater,’ where moviegoers can enjoy a ‘multi-dimensional’ cinematic experience, complete with special effects.

Another unique feature is SkyRide, an open-air cycling course which will definitely popular with thrill seekers. Passengers looking for a spike in their adrenaline levels can climb aboard hanging recumbent-like bikes and pedal around an 800-foot (244-meter) suspended track 150 feet (46 meters) above sea level, enjoying the amazing views all the way. Then there’s SkyCourse, for those who want to get the same views but prefer the challenge of climbing suspended ropes rather than pedaling.

Also, quite remarkably, the 4,000-passenger vessel has her own brewery, where three house-made beers are served.

Carnival Vista is set to debut in May 2016, with the initial itinerary taking the ship through the Mediterranean, with port of calls throughout Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, and Turkey.
