Breitling has finally unveiled its highly-anticipated Cockpit B50 timepiece.
The new release features the Swiss company’s first in-house multifunction quartz movement, a really impressive technical accomplishment. The mechanism is a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement, ten times more accurate than ordinary quartz and boasting COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Control) certification as a chronometer.
The wristwatch also offers a multitude of useful features: split-time and flyback capabilities, a second timezone display, a perpetual calendar, two alarms in buzzer or vibrate mode, a lap timer function, and a countdown timer with alarm, among others. Another cool element, which will be especially popular with frequent flyers, is the “chrono flight” feature, used to record flight times by memorizing departure and arrival times as well as the date.
The Breitling Cockpit B50 timepiece is available in lightweight titanium case natural or black coating based on carbon, and with either the titanium Professional bracelet or the rubber Diver Pro strap with titanium deployant. It is priced at $7,290.
