The Barisieur

Buying that perfect alarm clock might prove to be a lot more difficult than you could think; I mean, it’s not like they’ve reinvented the wheel in recent years. But the gorgeous alarm clock you’re about to see right now is finally something else, adding a coffee maker to the picture, which makes things a lot more interesting and delicious as well.

The concept may not be a novel idea, but it successfully works this time, with British designer Josh Renouf being the man responsible for imagining this aesthetically pleasing version of the alarm clock/coffee maker machine, called the Barisieur.

Showing off a superb wooden frame and black body, the Barisieur is complemented by retro knobs and dials that make it look like it’s coming right out of the 1970s.

The sleek glass carafes are reminiscent of laboratory equipment, telling us this product has been thoroughly researched and experimented with before being released onto the market. This odd mix of design cues works brilliantly, with vintage elements being perfectly complemented by state-of-the art technologies.

The Barisieur makes use of steel ball bearings, which move together to boil water through induction heating. The body of the appliance contains drawers for coffee grounds and sugar, and this thing will even keep cream or milk inside a small refrigerated compartment.

It’s not for sale, just yet, but it will apparently cost around $300 when it will be released on the market.
