Keep in mind this Mulsanne isn’t going to be Bentley’s first hybrid production model – in fact, the company’s hybrid SUV is set for launch no sooner than 2017. It’s will nevertheless be interesting to see what Bentley does in this direction and this is the best opportunity so far.

Few technical specs have been released, however we do know the Mulsanne hybrid will get a 25% power boost from the electric side, while reducing CO2 emissions by 70%. The car will also be able to run about 31 miles (50 km) on electric power alone.

While Bentley isn’t going hybrid just yet, the automaker does intend to eventually introduce this powetrain to most of its models. We’ll keep an eye out for any more information about this and keep you posted.
