The world’s largest yacht at the moment, the gorgeous 536 feet Eclipse, owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is due to be dethroned soon. There’s a new massive yacht currently under construction, reportedly named “Project Azzam” – a 590 feet long superyacht that’s going to be 54 feet longer than the Eclipse.

The details about this magnificent build are quite few – some believe it has been commissioned by some Saudi Royals, but it’s only an assumption. The project has an estimated worth of over $620 million (£400 million) and is currently undergoing assembly at the 170 meter dry dock at Lurssen’s yard, a German shipbuilder.

The vessel, as it has obviously increased in sizes during construction, is now in need of a bigger dock. It was recently moved to a 220 meter long dock. One of the interesting features that unmask its humongous size is the 1 million liter fuel reservoir. Furthermore, it is said that the Azzam will be able to host a total crew of 50 members – another characteristic that proves the magnificence of this project.
