An unknown European customer had the audacity to order the Audi A8 L Extended – a king-size version of Audi’s luxurious flagship sedan, the A8L. Measuring 6.36 meters (20.9 ft) in length, this limo of all limos has been constructed almost entirely from aluminum.
It benefits from an Audi Space Frame design, with the body having been reworked to include extruded aluminum sections and the roof incorporating additional aluminum profiled tubes and cross-braces, in order to provide the necessary torsional rigidity for this extraordinary vehicle.
I’m sure everyone will appreciate the impressive 2.40 meters (7.9 ft) glass panel in the roof, but no one can do it more so than the new owner of this amazing limousine.
On the inside, the modified Audi A8 L Extended will accommodate six passengers, who will enjoy an exquisite Valcona leather upholstery, finished in velvet beige, electrically adjustable individual seats, as well as a continuous center console, with a cool box and a Rear Seat Entertainment display.
Considering the 2,418 kg (5,331 lbs) weight and 3.0-liter TFSI petrol engine, that’s good for around 310 PS (306 HP) and 440 Nm (325 pound-feet) of torque, this vehicle shouldn’t be slow at all. The permanent AWD system works alongside an 8-speed TipTronic gearbox, allowing the limo to do 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.1 seconds and max out at 250 km/h (155 mph) – limited, of course.
This beast was designed with nothing but the ultimate comfort in mind and to keep in line with the added weight from all that extra aluminium, the braking system on this A8L had to be upgraded as well. Impressive, isn’t it?
