French fashion house Chanel has teamed up once again with the master watchmakers from Audemars Piguet, Renaud et Papi, to design a breathtaking timepiece that looks like a true work of art. The watch in question is called the Chanel Première Flying Tourbillon Openwork, and it’s going to be produced in a very, very limited run of just 12 units.
This is actually not the first time Chanel is collaborating with the watchmakers from Le Locle for an amazing timepiece – they have started working together back in 2012 for the Première Camelia Flying Tourbillon and this year they’re celebrating the 3 year anniversary of their partnership.
The Première Flying Tourbillon Openwork is Chanel’s first skeletonized watch for women, featuring Renaud et Papi’s bespoke flying turbillon caliber right in the heart of a luxurious diamond frame. The design of the watch has been inspired from the original Chanel Première timepiece, retaining its charm and femininity, with a big more glam and glitz.
The watch comes in a gorgeous 18k white gold case with 47 black baguette cut diamonds embedded on it, 18k gold hands set with 17 brilliant-cut diamonds and a stunning tourbillon cabochon set with 19 brilliant cut diamonds. No word on the price yet, but you can only guess that a watch as gorgeous as this one won’t come cheap.
