The Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter GMT Is All About Light Touches

Part of a limited-edition series of just 25 pieces, the new Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter GMT is not the kind of watch that stands out with flashy components and outrageous design cues. A stainless steel 48-mm case shows off double AR-coated sapphire crystals, although the most interesting fact about this new exquisite RJ timepiece is that it contains fragments of Apollo 11.

This discreet and bold male statement is water resistant up to 30 meters, while the movement is provided by a brilliant Swiss automatic La Joux-Perret caliber RJ7813L with 38 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 45 hours.

The brand’s distinctive X shape can be found on the rear side of the case, on the oscillating weight, balanced by inertia-blocks made from Moon SilverRJ – an alloy containing genuine moon dust.

The beautiful grey dial of this watch was laser engraved with a cool stellar pattern and features integrated X-shaped traverses as well. The circular satin-brushed counters and the rhodiumed and satin-brushed with red lacquer hour and minute hands. are the little details which make the difference.

Set to help this piece adorn your wrist is a cool black alligator leather strap, with red stitching and a steel pin buckle. Not too flashy, not outrageous, but a stylish fit for any occasion, the Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter GMT is a sound choice for anyone.

We don’t know anything about its official price, but since it’s part of a very, very limited edition, you can only expect this watch to cost around six figures.
