Movado has decided to team up with the renowned industrial designer Yves Béhar for the brand’s latest collection of exquisite watches, called Edge. Offering a stunning interpretation of Movado’s iconic Museum Dial concept, the focus point of this new collection is represented by new bespoke materials, interesting textures and a striking 3D construction that will surely start a couple of conversations.
Thanks to this eye catching construction, the shapes within the collection catch the light beautifully and draw everyone’s attention to the dial. Even better, as the user’s wrist moves, the design of these watches seems to change constantly, which is also an appealing feature.
With more than one version available, the collection includes only stainless steel cases, which benefit from a sapphire crystal and up to 30 meters water resistance. Movement is provided by a Swiss quartz ETA module, with chronograph complication and the dials come in concave sandblasted aluminum – blue, black or silver – with raised polished tonal dot and sculpted ray-textured edge part of the offering.
Customers may go for Arabic minute ring, 3 glossy midnight blue timing subdials, and matte red/glossy gray and white hands – with a steel link bracelet with push-button deployant clasp. They can also choose the matte silver hour hand and glossy gray minute hand, attached to a black leather strap with a steel buckle.
