Launched in 2002 with a unique marine-life inspiration, the beautiful Chopard Happy Fish celebrated the aquatic world through a couple of wonderful designs that were highly appreciated over the years. And this year at Baselworld the Swiss watchmaker has unveiled a new version of this stunning timepiece, called the Happy Fish Métiers d’Art.
Produced in a very limited run of just 25 units, the new Happy Fish watch brings the magic of the underwater world right on your wrist, with a gorgeous mother-of-pearl dial that shines in turquoise and gold, the new home of this graceful fish.
As the night comes, this watch comes to life and you can see the flowing curves of the fish and the graceful movements of the watch thanks to the delicate engraving on the mother-of-pearl. The rounded shapes of the fish are adorned with gold leaf to create a nice glistering and luminous effect at night, which is enhanced by graded shades of snow-set blue sapphires.
Nestled in an 18 carat rose gold case, the fish and its surroundings sizzle with seven luminescent moving diamonds and a dazzling bezel decorated with three different sizes of diamonds. The red jasper eye of the fish contrasts beautifully with the turquoise backdrop, charming you and everyone else who takes a look at this incredible timepiece.
The Chopard Happy Fish Métiers d’Art comes with a shimmering white alligator strap which goes really well with the majestic fish and it hides a mechanical self winding movement. Since there will be just 25 unites available, I’m pretty sure the price will be prohibitive, but I’m sure this watch is worth every single penny!
