As we’ve shown in the past, HYT is a brand that wants nothing to do with the conventional. Whether it’s the stunning Skull watches, or the H1 Sand Barth, a timepiece infused with sand from a beach in St. Barths, you can always count on the Swiss watchmaker to deliver something remarkable. Their latest creation is another remarkable watch dubbed the H1 Cigar.
The piece once again features the incredibly light, but very durable polyepoxyde resin, just like the H1 Sand Barth we’ve mentioned above. This material is so perfect for the kind of work HYT does because it allows the artisans to include solid, foreign elements into its composition, without altering its properties. This means that the case can be adorned with the finest Rodolfo Vitola cigar leaves, a real treat for a cigar aficionado who’s also passionate about watches.
The 48.8 mm case is in PVD-treated titanium bronze, while the strap is brown alligator leather. The movement, meanwhile, is a mechanical hand-wound, exclusive HYT caliber, with 35 jewels, 28,800 vph, a 65-hour power reserve, and hand-chamfered bridges adorned with the côtes de Genève.
HYT will release the H1 Cigar as a very exclusive, 8 timepiece limited edition.
