I’m a true fan of Depeche Mode and I sincerely think no band will ever be able to replicate their style. In case you’re currently listening to their music or “enjoying the silence”, here’s something to raise your current mood – the fabled brand had teamed up with Hublot some time ago to engineer and manufacture the staggering Big Bang Depeche Mode wristwatch.
One incredibly honorable cause behind this particularly stunning watch is that it will reportedly benefit the movement to bring safe drinking water to developing countries. The collaboration was unveiled in Berlin a few weeks ago, where this superbly stylish and cool watch was also presented for the first time.
In detail, what we have here is a black porcelain design with black heat-moulded calfskin band. The movement, containing a whopping 257 components and a power reserve of up to 42 hours, is superbly hidden under a sapphire crystal cover. The dial, apart from showing the time, also displays the date from within a rectangular window. As for the caseback, it bears two superb inscriptions – “Charity: water” and the name of the band “Depeche Mode”.
