FJORD 42 Open

Norwegian power boat builder Fjord has just unveiled its latest offering, in the form of the super stylish Fjord 42 open powerboat. Introduced to the world at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, on the 28th of September, this sleek vessel shows off a vertical bow and clean design lines, thanks to Patrick Banfield.

The latest project from Fjord also benefits from a wonderful flat deck layout, with two large sunbathing areas, and an incredible attention to detail throughout the vessel. The cockpit comprises an outdoor kitchen under the T-Top and a small seating area, which can be converted into another sundeck, in case everyone on board wants to enjoy the sun’s warm rays.

Below deck, the master cabin includes a large island bed, generous storage space, as well as a TV and a Fusion sound system; if you have some friends or family over, there’s a second cabin with twin beds meant to accommodate your guests.

Both sporty and functional, this power boat has a large bathing platform that can be lowered hydraulically to access the water, while the anchor can be also raised and hydraulically stowed at the push of a button. The new T-Top also benefits from an electrically retractable soft-top bimini, which shadows the rear cockpit area on request.

Powering up the Fjord 42 open are two Volvo Penta IPS engines, with 370 hp each, and there’s also a more powerful version, with 435 hp engines, if customers so desire. The larger IPS 600 engines will allow the vessel to reach a top speed of over 40 knots, which should be more than enough for a sunny cruise on the sea.

Inside the cockpit, Fjord equipped this vessel with an innovative dashboard, which packs two 16 inch Raymarine displays, looking extremely stylish and probably hiding the fact that the new Fjord 42 open will set you back 439.900,00 €.
