Unveiled two years ago on the occasion of the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bugatti 16C Galibier is finally ready to be released on the market. The Galibier is described as the world’s most elegant, powerful and exclusive sedan, and it will be available from the beginning of 2013.
It comes with a supercharged 8.0-liter 16 cylinder engine with two-stage supercharging, which can deliver somewhere between 800 HP (588 kW) and 1,000 HP (735 kW). The studs are sent to the wheels via an extremely efficient all-wheel-drive system.
The car’s side doors and wings are crafted from polished aluminum, while the rest of the bodywork represents a manufacture of dark blue handmade carbon fiber reinforced plastic, or CFRP. The typical, huge radiator grille that garnishes Bugatti’s vehicles is, in this case, flanked by superb, large LED headlights.
As for the interior of the car, it sports a stunning, flowing dashboard crafted to resemble a surfboard from the finest of wood essences and rich caramel colored leather with a 4-piece luggage set to match it. The surfboard-like central console is decked with a large LCD screen. An interesting touch is the speedometer, which was intentionally placed in the middle of the dashboard in order for the passengers sitting on the rear bench to be able to check the speed of the car.
The final touch of this absolutely magnificent car is a removable Parmigiani Reverso Tourbillon Swiss clock, which, via a smartly designed leather strap, can be removed and worn on the wrist.
Regarding the price, it hasn’t yet been disclosed officially. But, considering two facts – it is a Bugatti 4 door saloon and it’s Veyron-fast – we can conclude the chance for this car to cost under $2 million is rather non-existent. This car is simply impossibly gorgeous, fun, beautiful, luxurious and fast – we love!
