Superyacht Montigne by Aegean Yacht up for the grabs

The Montigne Superyacht is one of the rare sailing vessels that efficiently combine comfort and luxury with performance. It’s perfectly designed for charter guests, though Simpson Marine has it for sale. It was built in 2009 by the Turkish yard Aegean Yachts for a Southeast-Asian owner.

A rare wood essence, mahogany, is used all over the yacht, while the cabinet tops and facings are finished with burled Olive. The main cabin on the yacht generates a beautiful sensation of calm, due to its almost square shape and vast surface, naturally divided into four areas.

A superb work of art, a mahogany dining table with an olive-wood inlay, runs through the full beam, with comfortable seating for 12 people. Towards the starboard there is a grand auto-singing piano that decorates the saloon, that can be used by the occupants for fun purposes or if they would like to try and reproduce different classics.

There is also a huge L-shaped sofa, with four cozy chairs around a glass coffee table. Opposite to it lies a beautiful card-table, with antique-looking chairs all around it. Thus, checking on the world through a 65-inch Panasonic flat-screen TV or simply watching an interesting movie all of a sudden becomes way more pleasant.

The master stateroom is reached via down the stairs, on the aft, and it comprises an extremely eye-catching and superbly camouflaged king-sized bed, plus hers / his vanity desks and two starboard sofas finished in red silk. There is also a bulkhead-mounted 42-inch TV, a bathroom with full-sized deep bath as well as a strong rain shower.

Via some down-leading stairs, back in the main saloon and forward on the port side, there are the guest staterooms. The lower deck comprises a vast VIP stateroom of a size comparable to the master cabin, with two queen-sized double cabins in the centre, and right forward, two more twin cabins.

A short summary of the areas the Montigne comprises would be: 6 luxurious en-suite staterooms, 4 doubles (3 king-sized plus 1 queen-sized) and two double/twin cabins. By far, the most desired spot on the yacht is the main deck outside, a great place to relax, eat and lounge.

There is a beautiful large round dining-table with a little-Susan next to it, which make this spot the best to enjoy the chef’s specialties, be them Chinese banquets or different culinary styles. The aft end is all-around cushioned, built as a lounge-pad, allowing one to comfortably watch the outdoor TV while resting into the shade.

Furthermore, if Mother Nature has tricks to play, the area can be enclosed by drop-down fake walls and screens, while an air-conditioning effect is added by a smart system of misting sprays with a chilled air cooler and a system of fans. The whole vessel is also endowed with state-of-the-art sound and visual systems, plus means to practice water sports.

During 2011 and 2012 the Montigne will be available for charter sailing throughout the south-east Asia, but the owner has put the yacht up for sail for €16,500,000.
