The American tuners from Shelby have taken the wraps off the new 2013 Shelby GT 350. The modified Mustang will be available both as a coupé and convertible, with a lot of new features, improved looks and stunning performance, as we’re inviting you to find out.
The monster that makes this car move is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 delivering 430 HP (321 kW). There’s more, as it can be fitted with a supercharger, which raises its output to a whopping 525 HP (391 kW) or even 624 HP (465 kW).
The ponies are sent to the wheels via a 6-speed stock manual transmission, but there’s also a newer 6-speed automatic that can be mounted on the car if the customer orders it. They can also add, by choice, a one-piece driveshaft, color-coordinated billet aluminum engine cap set and a high-performance braking system.
The interior has been decked with Recaro seats, while the exterior is available in a larger color palette. A brand new rear wing has been added, a new set of wheels and, at customer’s choice, a panoramic glass roof can be mounted.
The prices for these models start at $26,995 (£17,210 or €21,305), alongside the price of the stock car. The 2013 Shelby Mustang GT350 will be produced in a limited 350 units.
