Specifically designed for the sixth edition of the “Les Voiles de Saint Barth” sailing race, which started just a week ago in Port of Gustavia, the Richard Mille RM60-01 Regatta Les Voiles de Saint Barth is wonderful timepiece that brings a tribute to this breathtaking sailing event from the Caribbean paradise.
Richard Mille has been the main partner of this festive race ever since it started and in 2015 it combined the competition’s eye catching colors with watchmaking tradition, cutting edge technology and extreme performances to come up with this mesmerizing timepiece, that’s going to be produced in a limited run of just 100 units.
The beautiful ‘Les Voiles de Saint Barth’ timepiece comes in a water resistant titanium case, done in four parts and featuring an AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sapphire display black. The openworked sapphire dial of this watch has yellow, blue, white and orange accents, with luminous hands and indices, using silicon braces and carbon fiber.
If that’s not impressive enough, we can tell you more about the complex movement that powers this beauty, Richard Mille’s in-house caliber RMAC2 with 68 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 55 hours. The movement has titanium screws, a sandblasted PVD finish, ceramic ball bearings and 18kt white gold screws.
Perfect for competition sailing, this very special RM 60-01 comes with a lot of neat functions, like an adjustable rotor, countdown timer and UTC fucntion, a running indicator, an annual calendar and an interesting flyback chronograph which comes with a quick locking and releasing mechanism. To activate the pushers of the flyback chronograph you’d have to quick turn the secondary crown, avoiding any accidental charges of the readout.
The Richard Mille RM60-01 Regatta Les Voiles de Saint Barth also comes with a white rubber strap covered in a titanium deployant and it’s priced at exactly $160,000.
