Created by Benjamin Graindorge, a young, up-and-coming French designer, the Perrier-Jouët InBloom Fresh Box is a limited edition chill case for the Grand Brut and Blason Rosé cuvees.
The piece draws inspiration from an Art Nouveau vision of nature, as well as Perrier-Jouët’s floral, elegant and diamond-cut signature style. Also central to its design is the idea of shelter, as its shape is reminiscent of a blooming flower, the bud protecting the delicate flower inside.
So yes, there’s a lot of harmony there, but also a bit of contrast, as the streamlined shape of the case appears in contradiction with the to the velvety smooth feel of the matte white base and satin-smooth lid. But the harmony returns, as the cases are available in colors which are ideally suited for the wine contained within it, namely spring green for the Grand Brut and pale pink for the Blason Rosé.
Although he only graduated from ENSCI (École nationale supérieure de création industrielle) in 2006, Benjamin Graindorge already has quite a résumé, which includes a residency at Japan’s Villa Kujoyama in 2009, as well as a solo exhibition at the prestigious Ymer & Malta gallery in 2011, and has been voted Young Designer of the Year at the Elle Décor International Design Awards in 2012.
