Prestigious Champagne House Perrier-Jouët has unveiled the 2005 vintage of its excellent Cuvée Belle Epoque Rosé in a limited-edition bottle created by famed Brazilian artist Vik Muniz.
The French brand has always been deeply linked with the art world, most notably the Art Nouveau movement, with the most remarkable result being the iconic anemone wreathed in gold, designed by artist and master glass maker Emile Gallé in 1902. This image would go on to become the symbol of the House, especially since it was placed on the bottle of the first Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage in 1964. Vik Muniz has added to this a beautiful golden hummingbird, seemingly seeking the nectar from the anemone.
But the actual nectar is inside the bottle. The limited edition cuvée is made predominantly from Chardonnay grapes, while its richness and salmon-pink hue comes from the Pinot Noir also in the blend.
The Belle Epoque Rosé Limited Edition by Vik Muniz comes in an exquisite presentation case and will be available starting mid-October.
