Like every year, next month’s Geneva Motor Show will once again see the unveiling of a whole host of excellent cars from all of the world’s top manufacturers. One of these releases will be the SL-Class 417 Mille Miglia, by Mercedes-Benz.
This stylish special edition was built to commemorate the 60thy anniversary of the German carmaker’s victory at Mille Miglia, when an SL with the number 417 won in its class, while the legendary Stirling Moss won the race overall at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.
The “417 Mille Miglia” special package is limited to 500 units and comprises modified versions of the SL400 and SL500. New features include red accents on the front spoiler lip, rear apron, brake calipers, and also on the 19-inch front & 20-inch rear alloys, in addition to red and matte carbon accents in the interior, where you can also spot headrests with the “Mille Miglia 417” inscription.
For the SL400, which is equipped with a V6 twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine outputting 333 hp (245 kW), the package is priced at €14,000 (about $15,900), while the SL500 version, boasting a V8 twin-turbo 4.6-liter which churns out 435 hp (320 kW), costs €12,800 (about $14,500).
