Macallan has released another limited edition scotch in collaboration with a world-famous photographer, and this time it’s Mario Testino who provides the pictures for the package, called Masters of Photography (the list of previous collaborators, which is now five names long, includes the likes of Annie Leibowitz).
The photos were shot in a former palace near Tiananmen Square in Beijing, while the other half of the set is a unique blend of six different casks, resulting in an excellent single malt with citrusy notes and a lingering finish.
The release includes a 750ml bottle of single malt blend in a numbered box, a Testino print, a book of twenty additional pictures taken at the Beijing photoshoot, as well as a hidden compartment holding six smaller bottles each containing one of the individual casks used to create the exquisite blend.
Released as part of a limited edition comprising just 1,000 units, The Macallan Masters of Photography: Mario Testino Edition comes with a price tag of $3,500.
