The famous British sports car maker has unveiled a new version of the Lotus Evora Sport 410, that was specially designed for the North American market. Dubbed as the GP Edition, this bespoke model is already available for order, and it comes with an interesting John Player Special black-gold livery, that’s reminiscent of the company’s F1 days.
I would surely want that, but just five Evora Sport 410s will feature this iconic livery, courtesy of the Lotus Exclusive program. The lightest and probably the most exciting version of the Evora joins the Evora 400 in the automaker’s US line-up, but don’t go dreaming about getting one as soon as possible, because the next six months of the market’s allocation is already spoken for.
The Lotus Evora Sport 410 will be the fastest road-going Lotus ever launched in the US, so die-hard fans of the brand will surely want a piece. New aerodynamic touches and a powerful engine allow this vehicle to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and max out at a breathtaking top speed of 190 mph.
Under the hood, the supercharged 3.5-litre V6 develops 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque, with a six-speed manual gearbox working alongside a low-inertia flywheel and a Torsen-type limited slip differential to deliver the proper thrills – that’s what you’re paying for, right?
Let’s just cut down to the chase, and state that the GP Edition of the Evora will set you back a cool $110,000 MSRP, excluding taxes – that’s if you ever get the chance to go for it.
