WindQuest is a 25.9-meter, long range semi-custom Long Island 85 series catamaran, the first of a series of vessels to be released by French shipbuilder JFA Yachts.
Naval architect Marc Lombard and his team took special care to ensure the ship’s weight is as low as possible, using aluminum to build its hull and a composite material for the deck, which was assembled by bonding. This, together with the yacht’s twin 380 hp engines, ensures WindQuest can achieve a top speed of 12.9 knots.
The vessel is also very comfortable. There’s plenty of room to accommodate up to 8 guests (more than 1,300-square-feet), as well as a crew of 6, while the exterior boasts an abundance of space for those who want to lounge and enjoy maybe work on their tan. The yacht also features an impressive living room where up to 12 people can dine in a setting worthy of a high-end home.
Launched in 2014, WindQuest is available for charter and will initially be in Europe, before leaving for the West Indies this winter.
