The first images of the 2015 C63 AMG Sedan have been released by the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz – and unsurprisingly, the new car looks great.
The vehicle is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine (similar to the one found in the new AMG GT), which outputs 503 hp and 516 lb-ft, markedly stronger than the 6.2-liter normally aspirated V-8 from the previous C63 AMG model. Even with this power upgrade, the C63 AMG boasts gas mileage of 28 mpg or better in European testing.
One absence which has to be pointed out is that of 4Matic all-wheel drive, a feature usually found in all AMG sedans available in the U.S. in recent times. In any case, these technical specs are, for the time being, those of the version which will be released on the German market. Details might still change by the time the C63 AMG will hit the American market, though the information released now still gives a good indication regarding the car’s general capabilities.
