Swiss watchmaker Hublot joined forces once again with the renowned French fashion house Berluti to create a new special edition of the iconic Big Bang Unico chronograph. The result is called Hublot Big Bang Unico Berluti Cold Brown and it’s a fabulous piece that follows various special designs and iterations of the Classic Fusion watch.
Set to be delivered in an elegant chest, signed by the two houses, this exquisite timepiece is part of a very limited series, with only 100 pieces ready to make some people happy.
The Hublot Big Bang Unico Berluti Cold Brown is a vision, specifically the vision of creative director Kris Van Assche. This timepiece bears the mark of men’s fashion house Berluti and benefits from the masterful touch of Hublot watchmaking specialists, making it interesting and worthy of attention for more than one reason.
Inspired by the past, Kris Van Assche created this gorgeous Cold Brown patina that’s complemented by a glacé which enables various brown shades to show off a subtle shade.
Upon a quick glance, the level of fine craftsmanship quickly becomes obvious. Showing off Berluti’s iconic Venezia leather, this watch aims to grab everyone’s attention. The extraordinary Big Bang Unico dial is encased between two pieces of sapphire glass, while the gears of the complex Unico movement are also visible through the dial and the caseback.
At the heart of this Hublot Big Bang sits the signature Unico manufacture movement. The MHUB1242 caliber hides within the beautiful 45-millimeter case, featuring a flyback function and benefiting from a 72-hour power reserve.
The Venezia leather finished in a lovely Cold Brown patina looks absolutely stunning, especially when you consider that it is visible on the watch’s bezel as well. To achieve this, an all-new conception was necessary for the bezel, but we didn’t get any details on how they’ve managed to do it.
Admiring and, possibly, owning one of these 100 fabulous timepieces might just be of more relevance. Some of you might frown upon the watch strap, a fusion of patina leather and rubber, but I guess that is only a matter of taste.
