Introducing another stunning timepiece from Richard Mille’s RM011 series (from which we’ve already seen the Red Demon and White Demon) –the eye-catching Yellow Storm.
Like its siblings, it is an automatic flyback chronograph watch. It boasts a number of cool features and technical innovations, like a skeletonized automatic winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry, 60-minute countdown timer, 12-hour totalizer, annual calendar, and oversized date and month.
Arguably the most interesting thing about it is the material the case is made from. While the White Demon was fashioned from white ceramic, the Yellow Storm has a case made from NTPT carbon, an incredibly sturdy special material previously used in sailing, which Richard Mille has been pioneering in the world of watchmaking.
Due to its unusual color – bright yellow, when luxury watches rarely go for anything flashier than gold – Yellow Storm is certain to draw attention to the wrist of anyone wearing it. It was released as a limited edition comprising just 50 pieces, available exclusively at Richard Mille boutique in the Americas, each timepiece priced at $170,000.
