Not long ago, we’ve showcased the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, a wonderful high-end retreat set in the very heart of the Namib Desert. Now, it’s time to present another member of the &Beyond family, a group which specializes in setting up unparalleled luxury experiential travel destinations.
In this case, it’s the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, located on the other side of Africa, in the Manyara region of northern Tanzania. What makes this particular resort so remarkable is the fact that guests actually get to stay in treehouse suites, which are not only comfortable and well-appointed, by also offer a great feeling of privacy. High up in the canopy, surrounded only by the foliage and the sounds of the jungle – it really doesn’t get more romantic than that.
You don’t want to spend all your time in your treetop suite, as there’s quite a lot to explore around the resort. After all, you’re in a scenic part of Africa called the Rift Valley, which boasts dramatic terrain and a great variety of wildlife, including pink flamingos (among hundreds more species of birds), baboons, giraffes, hippos, and even the rare tree-climbing lions.
