Turkish shipyard Tansu Yachts launched the all-wooden motor yacht Alyssa, the second vessel they built last year following the completion of So’Mar. Originally called Thunderbolt, the 38.75-meter Alyssa features naval architecture by acclaimed Dutch company Diana Yacht Design, with exteriors done in-house by Tansu Yachts.
From the very beginning, Alyssa was a special project, since she was designed for a close friend of the shipyard’s founder, Riza Tansu. The plan was to keep things simple and elegant, following the company’s ‘close-to-the-sea’ philosophy. The design team did wonders with the freedom that was afforded them, creating a marvelous yacht that is both easy on the eyes, and very comfortable and luxurious.
Thanks to the light color scheme and beautiful decorations (including works from the skilled Portuguese photographer Andre Brito), the yacht’s interiors have a very welcoming, casual vibe. The accommodations are just as alluring, especially the splendid owner’s suite, but also the VIP suite, and even the twin cabins.
The outside areas provide the passengers with an ideal setting for social activities, but also for quiet hours of lounging in the sun. Throughout the ship, simplicity in design has been the main focus, and here this means more space for those on board to enjoy.
