The world-renowned cognac house Courvoisier has released a new exclusive limited edtion L’Essence Year of the Horse. This special version of Courvoisier’s acclaimed L’Essence cognac has been made to commemorate the Lunar New Year’s Year of the Horse (which we are barely days into). The L’Essence Year of the Horse comes in a Baccarat decanter engraved with the icon image of Napoleon on his horse – the French Emperor being said to have been an admirer of brand founder Emmanuel Courvoisier’s craft. The elegant vessel features a soft brown leather harness along its edges, further adding to its distinction.
The cognac itself is truly exquisite, the result of exceptional blends combined with the rarest eaux-de-vie from the Courvoisier Paradise cellar. L’Essence boasts notes of sandalwood and cigar leaves, followed by toffee, marzipan and honey from fresh mountain flowers. It blends a full-bodied and rich palate of liquorice, dried plum and apricot that builds to a smouldering intensity and ends with a subtle perfume of May blossom.
Only 1000 of these bottles will be produced, and each of them will be presented in a specially made wooden trunk, with one being available for $3500.
