Century Wings of Time pendant jewellery watch

There have been poems written about them, songs sung, pictures painted and sculptures crafted. Birds aren’t simple animals for us, they are symbols for freedom and passion. Immortalized in the form of the Wings of Time, by Century, birds have gone a step closer to becoming immortal.

Mainly acting as a timepiece, the Wings of Time pendant jewelry watch is a great eye-catcher. Created by Century’s craftsmen, the former idea of the project was to design a golden cage that resembles Art Deco, a style that dates back to 1920s Paris – an influential style in the world of jewels, industrial and interior designs.

The cage sports four opening windows, all of them decked with Century sapphire. Every little bit of the watch has been carefully cut and polished in Century’s workshops, while the golden bird can be easily viewed through the Sapphire’s transparent body. When pulled down, the piece gives way for the dial and the parts to come forward from within the safety of the cage.

The bird appears to be fading into the background, while the technical bits and pieces get into position. Thus, the frail being has now been surrounded by the minutes and hours hands. This collection, the Wings of Fire, will be available in 18-carat red and white gold versions.

And there’s another piece of exquisiteness that comes from the hands of Century manufacturers and designers – the Mogul Alexandrite almost looks like a standalone jewel. Bearing a stunning 192 facets, the dial has been entirely crafted by hand. Whenever the smallest ray of light comes into contact with this piece, it bounces of the facets creating a splendid light show.

This series is also available in white and red gold. The dial comes decked with a staggering 48 diamonds, while a claw-like buckle ties it to the alligator strap.

We are aware of Century’s motto – “Beyond imagination” – and we’re absolutely sure both these timepieces entirely reflect the concept. One can’t simply realize such pieces while lacking imagination and industry. Projects like these require day and night hard work, dedication and strong will.
