The Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph collection has been issued every two years since 2002. What we are about to showcase is the seventh model in the series – the 2014 edition.
The case is made from titanium comes with a more dynamic outlook than the previous version, as well as a 2mm size increase to 44.5mm. The titanium is given a beadblasted finish, contrasting with the polished chrono pushers and polished, engraved caseback – which are also titanium. The caseback boasts the logo of the Automobile Club de Monaco (the organizer of the Monaco Grand Prix).
The dial has also been redesigned, and now comes in a snailed silver-tone with 2 inverse (black) subs at 12 and 6, while the hour-marker ring is punctuated by arrow-shaped hour-markers filled with luminova. Finally, the watch comes with a perforated black calfskin strap with yellow stitching and a titanium folding clasp, with a nylon NATO-type black strap with yellow stripes also being an option.
The 2014 Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph comes with a price tag of $7,640.
